My wife made me clean up my “work” area, and my sketchbook was laying in the pile of crap that I need to put somewhere before the in-laws show up. I thought it might be fun to share the various logo ideas that I played with before deciding on the coloring book style.
The first sketch was my original idea, which I quickly sketched off and scanned and sent to the other Douches, and asked that one of them flesh it into something that looked decent. They all said “No, you do it,” or just ignored me.
This was the first try. It sucks.
When I realized that I was on my own, tried a few other ideas. This one I thought had potential…
Of course, other ideas went nowhere:
Finally, on October 31, I figured I had better get something together. Rather than try to do something elaborate, I took a magic marker and went with simple lines that would be easy to color in the computer. So in short the process went something like this:
Have Idea.
Try to get someone else to implement idea.
If that doesn’t work, dick off and doodle til the last possible second, then throw up the easiest thing you can do right before the deadline.
